A Wonderful Mother's Day!!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day spent with Josh and Adrianna, visiting with my family and then visiting with Josh's Mom. Josh and Adrianna defiantly took really good care of me yesterday and spoiled me with some surprises. I was given 25 beautiful roses and a gift certificate to go and get a pedicure and manicure. Josh made french toast for breakfast and then we headed out for Sunday School and Church...afterwards we had lunch at home and relaxed some while Adrianna took a short nap. We then headed down to my parents house to bring my Mom some roses and a card and then go out to eat at a golf course in the area with Mom, Dad, my brother and grandmother...we had a very yummy and nice dinner. We were able to get some cute pics outside of the restaurant as well. We spent a little time hanging out at my parents house and then headed back towards home and made a stop by to bring some roses to Josh's Mom as well.

Enjoying her yummy dinner...

Enjoying a walk after dinner with Mommy...

My brother even posed for a pic with me....

I am looking forward to Monday (May 18th) when I am planning to have a day to myself....I already had a hair appt scheduled to finally get my hair cut and highlighted and then I am planning on using my gift card that same day to get my manicure and pedicure. My Mom had already taken off that day so she is happy to watch Adrianna for me. I am looking forward to being able to have some time alone to be pampered right before the baby comes and things get crazy and very busy. Thanks for a wonderful Mother's Day...I love you guys so much.

SURPRISE!!!

Josh turns 30 this year on June 10th...so of course I wanted to surprise him by having a party with friends and family. Of course, I couldn't wait until his Birthday to do the party since my c-section is scheduled for June 11th so I decided to have the party about a month early on this past Friday night May 8th. Now, Josh is very hard to surprise and he always asks so many questions to the point that he will get me to ruin the surprise...well I am very happy to say that this time I actually was able to surprise him and get him good....I was so glad that he was surprised. Josh plays softball for our church and there was a softball game scheduled at 6:30 on Friday night...at first I was hoping that it was going to rain and I would get him to come home that way..well that didn't happen so I ended up having to call him and pretend that I was really sick and couldn't handle taking care of Adrianna to get him home...it actually took two phone calls to get him home but he did come home....this was the look on his face when he walked in the door...

I was very happy to actually be able to surprise him for once!!!

Josh just being himself...always acting silly...

Adrianna got all dressed up to surprise Daddy as well...

Josh's golf cake with a baby picture of himself on it...he didn't even know that was him...

The party was a great success...thank you to everyone who came out and helped to celebrate...I wish I would have had more pics but I was just too busy running around that night and talking and such that I didn't take as many as I would have liked to...

"Pump it Up"

On Wednesday, we met up with some friends to try out a new indoor place called "Pump it Up" that had just opened up recently in the area. It is pretty much a place that had four large inflatable bouncers/slides that the kids could play on. They also had a small area with some toys, mats and car to play with. Adrianna seemed to have a great time while she was there but didn't want to have anything to do with the slides....I kept asking her if she wanted to go on them but she kept saying "no..no...no.." I think that she was just a little young for the place even though she did have a good time and maybe in a few months she will want to try out the slides.
She did enjoy bouncing on the moon bounce though...

She spent a lot of time climbing on these small mats...

She didn't even mind being confined inside of a gate to play...since she had something to draw on which she loves...I could never expect her to do this at home :).

Most of her time was spent playing with this car...she enjoyed riding in it and pushing others around in it...anytime that she saw the car was empty she would go running towards it to get in...

We attempted to get a group shot of the kids but they just didn't want to stay still this time...I got a few of them...but they weren't looking...

Adrianna, Chase, Anna, Lexi

Overall, everyone seemed to have a great time and then we enjoyed lunch afterwards at Moe's.

First Night in the "Big Girl Bed"

On Tuesday night, Adrianna spent her first night in her new room and her had first experience of sleeping all night in a twin bed. It actually went much better then I expected. She slept all through the night right away and has had complete nights sleep since Tuesday in her big bed. She seems to really enjoy her new room and bed. I can't wait to get the border up that finally arrived today, pictures and her new blinds and then I think everything will finally be complete in her new room. Although she has done great with sleeping through then night in the bed...nap time has been a different story....so far she hasn't really had a nap in the bed yet...we will have to keep working on that. She just wants to keep getting out and play in her room. I have even tried laying down with her but she just gets really upset about that...we will keep working on it, all adjustments take some time. The biggest difference with her sleeping in a bed compared to the crib is that once she gets up you have to get into her room pretty much right away or she is pulling clothes out of drawers and getting into stuff or knocking at the door and playing with the knob to try and get out...I know it will only be a matter of time until she can open the door on her own...she already can open some of the doors in the house. This morning, when I went into to her room she was at the door with one of her hats on her head and saying "outside"...she was ready to go :).

She looks so small in her new bed....

Enjoying her new bed....

Pretending to be asleep....

Glad to Have "Visitors" Join us at Church

So here I am again trying to catch up on my blogging from this past week that I didn't get to.
On Sunday, we went to Sunday School and then afterwards Church as usual. As we were walking into Church I noticed that I saw Jessi there that we know through Little Gym with her husband Adam and son Chase and then a few minutes later Kari and her husband Dave and daugther Lexi arrive as well. We were glad to have them join us for the service and hope that they enjoyed there time there as well. I know that Adrianna enjoyed having them to play with in the nursery. Hopefully, they will come and visit again and Chase will get better at staying in the nursery as well...it all just takes time.
Afterwards, it was nice to share lunch with them at Panera.

Free Fun Activities

On Saturday, while Josh played golf....Adrianna enjoyed going to two different free activities that were going on in the area. First we headed over to Robinwood for a Carnival Day. Basically, they had a moon bounce, pony rides and several games to play and win candy prizes. We were there for about 2 hours and Adrianna seemed to enjoy the pony ride the best.

Afterwards, we headed over to the mall for Reading Day and Adrianna was able to pick out three free brand new really nice books to take home.
She loves books so she really enjoyed picking out some new ones and couldn't wait to read them. She enjoyed drawing a picture while she was there as well.

We sat down to watch the magician for a while but that didn't hold her interest too well..we were too close to Auntie Anne's and she really wanted to get some pretzel sticks instead :).

Overall, she had a great morning full of activities and the best part is they were free...we are always looking for different and even better free things to do.

The Circus!!!

About a week ago the Circus was in town....so we took Adrianna to see it and she had a great time. We had great seats..only three rows from the front and pretty much right in the middle of the Big Top. She loved every minute of it and pretty much didn't take her eyes off of the acts the whole time.
This is what Adrianna looked like pretty much the whole circus...she kept pointing and looking up at all the different acts..loving every minute of it.

She really watched the 7 person tight rope walk stunt...I can't believe the one who did the handstand at the top of it was only 10 years old!!

And of course the circus wouldn't be complete without the elephants....

I have tons more pics but so many of them turned out blurry or had big dots of light in them from the spotlights..I need to take some camera lessons :).
