Bear Party Supplies...finally located...

Today, Adrianna had her last storytime for this session and they will take a break from it in April and will be starting back again in May...so I guess we will need to find something to do on Monday's in April...hopefully the weather will be nice to go outside some then too.
We then went over to the Paper Plus store and finally found Birthday Bear supplies for Adrianna's b-day party...she wanted to do bears but it was really hard to just find teddy bears....I was glad to finally locate them. I just ended up getting the goody bags and napkins...since they were pretty pricey for just small amounts of plates and will get just plain pink and purple plates to go along with the napkins...
My Mom was in Hagerstown this morning too doing some work at one of the nursing homes...so we were able to go by there and see her and then she took us to lunch at Roy Rogers and I had her check out the ACT II consignment shop...since i knew she would really like that..and of course she spoiled Adrianna with some new things from there.
We came back home for Adrianna to take her nap and I spent some time doing laundry and cleaning. Then after nap we headed back out to meet a friend who had invited us for dinner. We had a great time and Adrianna enjoyed seeing Sean as well.
Josh had a 6pm appt. at the office tonight so he didn't get home until even later then normal.

A Rainy Sunday.....

We went to SS and church this morning and Adrianna did great in nursery as usual. We enjoyed our young married couples class and church..then headed home for lunch. Adrianna and I are hanging out at the house...just taking it easy...I am pretty tired and am going to lay down soon while she is napping....I feel like I have several things to do but just really need to rest some too. I guess I need to do that while I still can...only 11 more weeks until Adrianna's baby sister arrives...hard to believe.
Adrianna enjoyed playing with her shopping cart....

Josh went out this afternoon with a friend from church to play golf...yes in the rainy weather...but he doesn't care what the weather is...he just loves having any opportunity to go out and play golf!!

Way off Broadway - "The Wedding Singer"

On Saturday morning, I took Adrianna to her friend Laura's second b-day party. Everyone had a great time...we even got to make a fun craft...which Adrianna enjoyed.
Happy Birthday to Laura.

Saturday night, a friend of our's from Church came over to watch Adrianna for the evening while Josh and I got to have a date night. This was the first time that we really had left Adrianna with anyone other then family and she did an awesome job. She was happy to see Heather as soon as she arrived and had her reading books to her right away. It is always great to have people that you feel more then comfortable with watching your kids. Thanks Heather for all your help.

Josh and I got to go down to Frederick to Way off Broadway and see the musical "The Wedding Singer". We had a very yummy dinner and then laughed non-stop the rest of the evening. We had an awesome time and would recommend that everyone that can go out and see "The Wedding Singer" at Way off Broadway!! Unfortunately, we don't have any pics from the night since they don't allow pics during the performance.

AG Days at the Mall

Today, I took Adrianna out to the mall for the Ag Days that are going on this weekend. I figured there wouldn't be any real animals at the mall....which was correct with the exception of some chicks that weren't there yet when we were there, however, she still had a great time and I felt the set-up and the activities were all great. Laura and Katrina joined us at the mall for the fun times. The girls got to pet a "sheep", play in corn kernals with toy tractors and animals, ride on toy tractors,
go down a cow slide, "milk a cow",
ride on horse sticks (or maybe just mop the floor with them :)),
plant bean and flower seeds in a glove and get a cute free barn with cow for stopping at all the stations and getting their cards punched. It was a fun time and they did seem to enjoy themselves a lot as well. Afterwards, they enjoyed a packed lunch together before heading our seperate ways. We then had to stop by Sam's Club to get a few things and then headed home for nap.
Tonight, Josh had softball practice for our Church's softball team... so after dinner, I took Adrianna over to the field to watch Daddy practice and she really seemed to like this and enjoyed seeing her Daddy out on the field.

March MOPS Night Out!!

Today was Adrianna's day to go to The Little Gym...we did the parachute today and Adrianna seemed to really enjoy that more then she has in the pass. She actually held on to one of the hoops on her own and did all the correct motions along with the song. We went to the Farmer's Market afterwards and took along a packed lunch...I think next week we will buy our lunch there, I am beginning to feel guilty for going in there and eating a packed lunch and not buying lunch there...especially when the whole table packed today. Once the weather warms up more...we can probably plan on going to a park for a picnic lunch afterwards. After lunch we headed over to ACT II consignment shop again and I took a few of my clothes...(some of which still had the tags on them) to consign there and see how that works out...I figured they are just sitting in my closet taking up space and not being worn so why not. They are very picky about what you take in...but that is a good thing for buyers. Of course, I couldn't get out of there without looking at Adrianna's clothes and I ended up getting her two really cute jumpers...one Tommy Hilfiger and the other one from Gymboree..I love being able to get the brand name clothes that pretty much look brand new for a fraction of the cost.
Tonight, I went out with some Mom's from my MOPS group for our March Mom's night out at Friendly's. We had a great time eating dinner and of course ice cream Sundae's together and just hanging out and socializing without the kids. Josh was more then happy to have some time with Adrianna and he actually took her out for a little while as well...I didn't get home until about 10 and believe it or not Adrianna was still wide awake and watching a new movie that she picked out while they were out. Hopefully, she will be ready to go in the morning and not too tired :).

A New Dishwasher, Finally!!

This morning, our new dishwasher was finally installed. We have been without a working dishwasher for just about 2 weeks now and I never knew how thankful I am to have a dishwasher until I was without one. I have gotten so tired of washing all the dishes by hand....I feel bad for those people who don't have the luxury of having a dishwasher. I now know how much time it really did save me....

After the dishwasher was installed, Adrianna met up with her friend Brea and we went to the Four Star Athletic Complex again for open gym...we had bought a card to go 5 times and this was our second time there. I think that they enjoyed it even more this time and Adrianna loved just being able to climb and run and bounce around. We then had a fun lunch at McDonald's before heading home for naps.

Hopefully it's not another 6 Months!!

On Tuesday morning, Adrianna and I went out to Target to get b-day presents for our upcoming parties...it is that time of year with everyone turning 2 now!!! I also picked up a few things for Adrianna's Easter Basket...she actually picked them out but I know she won't really remember yet..but it won't be many more years that I will be able to do that ;). She picked out two new bathing suits for this summer. Afterwards, we picked up a few things at the grocery store and headed back home. Adrianna took a really long nap today...almost 4 hours...I guess she was really worn out from her busy weekend still. I got a lot done around the house with laundry and cleaning which was good.
Then we got invited to go out to dinner with a couple and their daughter that we hadn't seen in about 6 months...we had been trying to get together for a while and it just kept not working out so it was great to finally get together with them again. We went to dinner at Hard Times Cafe in Frederick and had a yummy dinner...the girls made a huge mess of their dinner but had a great time hanging out. Thanks Erika and Mike for treating us to dinner!! Unfortunately, I didn't remember to bring my camera so we don't have any pics from tonight. Hopefully, we will be able to meet up again a lot sooner then 6 months from now!!

Lucky's New Groom

On Monday, I took Adrianna to storytime and of course she enjoyed it like normal. She kept wanting to go up front and look at the books that were going to be read instead of listening to the one that was currently being read or singing along with the songs. She is certainly wanting to be more and more independent and wanting to do just what she wants to do :).
We just came home afterwards and got a few things done around the house and then took Lucky (our dog) to the groomer to get his new "spring/summer do". Adrianna thought it was the greatest thing to have Lucky riding in the car with us (he rarely rides in the car). Lucky looks much better now...the only thing was that he was wearing a bandanna with flowers on it.

Baptism Day!!

On Sunday, we headed down to the church that I grew up in and were there to help celebrate the baptisms of both of my cousins kids...Layndon and Lilli. It was great to be a part of the celebration and welcoming them into God's Kingdom. We had a small luncheon afterwards at the church and go to spend some more time with family and it was great to see some people that I hadn't seen in years from my old church.
We went back to my parents house afterwards and Josh got his car back and headed out to enjoy the nice weather and golf with his Dad, while Adrianna took her nap and I hung out with my family there and then headed home after dinner with them.
We had a great fun weekend, but it was nice to be back home too...now it is time to catch up with laundry and cleaning here.

Jenn and Brian's Wedding Day!!

Saturday was my cousin Jenn and Brian's wedding at my parents house. The weather turned out to be pretty nice..it was still a little chilly but there was heat in the tent for the reception so it all worked out very nice and everyone had a great time. We started out the day with getting our hair done at 8am
and then got back to my parents house around 11 to get ready for the 1pm wedding. The ceremony was beautiful out on my parents patio and everything went smoothly.
The reception took place in a huge, heated tent with a great wood platform that the guys had built for the floor of the tent....we all got introduced into the tent/reception after some pics and had a yummy meal and lots of fun dancing. Adrianna enjoyed the corn on the cob and dancing the most...she had a blast too. We were all so tired after the wedding though. My parents ended up wanting Adrianna to spend the night there since we were going to be coming back to their house the next morning to go to church with them for my other cousin's kids baptisms. So we were fine with that and Josh and I just rode home in one car together that evening and didn't do anything at home except pretty much just fall asleep...we are just so exciting :). Congrats to Jenn and Brian!!

Catching Up!!!

Well, the last time that I blogged was over a week ago...things have been crazy this past week and I haven't gotten a chance to blog any...haven't home that much either. I will try and catch up in this blog and then hopefully get back to my close to daily blogging.

Well, On St. Patrick's Day (Tuesday) we didn't actually leave the house all day. I had wanted to get out some of course but Adrianna was just as happy just hanging out at the house and didn't want to go out so I thought it would be best to just stay home since that was what she wanted and then she would be happy. So we hung out and I got some of my old teaching papers out and found some St. Patrick's Day coloring sheets and activites that she could do and she seemed to enjoy doing some colring at her table.
After nap, it was pretty nice outside so we spent some time playing outside swinging and in the sandbox.

We had beautiful weather on Wednesday and were able to enjoy some time at the park with friends. When we first got there, there was hardly anyone at the park but it quickly filled up with all of the other kids taking advantage of a beautiful day. Adrianna did great at first swinging, sliding and running around, but then she was determined that she wanted to cross the street and couldn't get that out of her mind and got very upset that I wouldn't let her cross the street...aren't i such a mean Mommy for not letting her run in the street :).
Josh worked from home today so after our fun time at the park and picnic lunch I brought Adrianna back home for her nap and then headed out to check on my house sitting job and then stopped by Act II cosignment shop for the first time and I was able to find some really cute clothes for Adrianna at reasonable prices that looked brand new...it was hard to find complete outfits but I was able to find a lot of cute bottoms and tops....I will be back to check it out again.

On Thursday, we went to Little Gym and then took along a packed lunch to eat with friends. Adrianna was a little out of sorts this morning and fussy...I think some of the two's are shinning through :). She didn't want to sit down for lunch and wanted to be very independent today. After we were done lunch, we headed down to my parents house to help out with getting things ready for my cousins wedding
and then my parents kept Adrianna while I went to a bridal shower for a friend that I used to work with at camp who was in town for my cousins wedding from Colorado....it was great to see some old friends and catch up again.

On Friday, we had MOPS and since it was our last MOPS meeting before Easter, Pastor Dave came in and spoke about the Easter story and we learned some fun activities to do with our kids around the Easter season. Adrianna enjoyed playing with her friends in the nursery. After MOPS, we headed straight down to my parents house and continued to help out with getting things ready for my cousins wedding
and then had the rehearsal for the wedding that evening....it was outside and kind of windy so we were all pretty chilly but all went well.
Josh met us at my parents house after work to join us for the rehearsal dinner there and then he went back home to take care of our dog and Adrianna and I spent the night at my parents house since I had to get up for an 8am hair appt that was much closer to their house then my own.

A Busy Monday!!

Today, Adrianna and I had a pretty busy day just trying to get a lot done. I took her to storytime this morning..which she always enjoys. They read one of her favorite books today "Five Little Monkeys". We then ran arrands all over the place...took stuff to Goodwill, got gas, went to the bank, went to Bed, Bath and Beyond for a bridal shower present and a wedding present, checked out Marshalls to see if they happened to have any Bear Bedspreads or any summer clothes for Adrianna...but no luck there and then stopped by the party story on the way back home to see if they had any bear party supplies for her b-day party coming up...but no luck there either. I am thinking I will probably have to order something on-line...we will see. Adrianna did great with all of the in and out of the car and running around...I did feel pretty bad though because she ended up falling asleep on our way home and then didn't wake up and never ate lunch today. She did eat a pack of Cheez-Its and fruit snacks while we were out but that isn't really lunch. She did take a pretty long nap today too....it was about 3 1/2 hours...I think she was pretty worn out from her late nights this past weekend. I spent her nap time cleaning and doing laundry...fun, fun :).
I actually had to wake her up so that we could be back out to meet up with a friend of mine for dinner tonight at Friendly's again...she enjoyed it even more this time. They were actually doing a special on the kids meals and they only cost $1.99 a great deal so she had chicken fingers and fries and then was able to get her Monster ice cream which she really enjoyed...she was so excited when it arrived at the table :).
We have been spoiled with eating out two days so close together :).
Then, as if we hadn't done enough for one day already, we went over to Weis after dinner and picked up a few groceries that we needed. It was a busy day but it made the time go by quickly and before we knew it Daddy was home and shortly after it was time for bed. I was happy to get so much accomplished in one day...but now I am worn out:).

Dinner and fun Games at Friends House!!

Adrianna enjoyed having breakfast at her own table before going to SS and church for the morning....

On Sunday, we went to SS and Church and then ate lunch there as well. The missions team had their monthly fundraiser luncheon today and of course Adrianna wanted to stay as soon as she saw one of things they would be having a mac and cheese. So we joined some friends and ate lunch there and then didn't get home from that until 1:30 or so. I then made a red velvet cake to take to friends house who was having us over for dinner.
On our way to their house for dinner, we had to stop at Lowe's to order a new dishwasher...I am looking forward to getting it installed...I am so spoiled with having one that I am already getting really tired of washing everything by hand. I am hoping that they will call soon to set up the installation date and it will be done this week. Not the most fun way to spend money but all part of being homeowners...at least our dishwasher and fridge will now match.
We had a great time at our friends house for dinner. They had so much food...it was like a thanksgiving feast and all very yummy. Thanks for having us over for such a great dinner and fun Amy and Eric. We also got to learn a new game while we were there called Chicken foot and you play it with dominoes....it was a lot of fun. I would enjoy playing again. Adrianna did great and had fun playing with their girls and all of the toys there and watching some of their movies.

A Day of Parties!!!

On Saturday, we had two different parties to go to. I took Adrianna in the morning to Jenna's 2nd birthday party (hard to believe that Adrianna will be celebrating hers in just over a month). She had a great time eating pizza and cake, trying on a party hat and playing with friends.

I then spent a little bit of time at home and then Adrianna enjoyed Daddy time while I went to my cousins Bachelorette party. We went to a mexican restaurant down in Frederick
and then to paint our own pottery at "I Made This".
I painted a cupcake.
A great time was had by all. Can't believe that Jenn will be getting married on Saturday...so exciting.

Friendly's

Today, I had my MOPS planning meeting and we are getting ready for our next MOPS year and planned for our Summit meeting trip that I am greatly looking forward to. We hope to have a lot of new Mom's join MOPS in the Fall. Adrianna had a great time playing with her friends in the nursery while I was planning.
We spent the afternoon and part of the evening at home...then headed out to Friendly's tonight for dinner. Since Josh is all the way down in Gaithersburg for work and has to fight the 270 traffic on the way home...it is almost impossible for him to really get home early. He didn't end up making it home until a little after 7...so by that time Adrianna had already eaten dinner but we all went out to Friendly's anyways. At first, she was pretty fussy and just kept wanting to poke and bite the balloon that they gave her but then she settled down later and enjoyed looking at the Kids menu and coloring.
She really didn't eat that much there since she had already eaten dinner but seemed to have a good time anyways. Josh and I both ordered the meals that included a dessert so I got a Sundae and then Josh didn't want his so we got it for Adrianna. Such a big sundae for a little girl :). She loved every minute of eating it though.

It was a late night for Adrianna she didn't get to bed until about 10...so bath will be in the morning...hopefully she will sleep well and be ready for Jenna's b-day party tomorrow.

Adrianna's "Big Girl Bed"

Today, Adrianna went to Little Gym and did a lot more climbing then she normally does there...I think she is really starting to overcome her fear and her issues with low muscle tone as well..yippee!! We then took along a packed lunch to eat with friends.
Adrianna didn't really take a nap today...just fell asleep for about 15 minutes or so on the way home from Little Gym...and then woke up and wouldn't go back to sleep...she normally stays pretty much asleep when we get back home but not today. She actually ended up doing really well for not getting a nap. We just hung out here at the house the rest of the afternoon/evening.
I also ordered Adrianna's new bed today....we ended up getting a twin bed with a trundle bed underneath of it. We figured this way there would be an extra bed when she wants to have friends over when she is older and also when she first starts sleeping in her "big girl" bed she can sleep in the trundle first and be lower to the ground. It is to arrive in about a month...we hope to have her moved into her new room by her b-day. So now we just have to get the mattresses and the bedset...haven't had any luck finding a Teddy Bear Bedset.....

Feeling a Little Lonely Today!!

Well, on Wednesday's we typically get together with Adrianna's friends Ailey and Brea...and it would have been a perfect day for a park outing. Well, it ended up that Ailey's Mom was sick and Brea's Mom got called into work...so we didn't end up getting together with them after all. So Adrianna and I ventured out some on our own today..which is nice but it is even nicer when you have friends to share your time with. Josh did work from home today but of course he is working so it isn't like we can do anything with him. He is also going to bowl tonight on his brother's team so it will be a long evening for us.
Of course, I didn't want to stay home all day so I had to go out to check on my house sitting job anyways....so we did that first...Adrianna wanted to go next door and play on the neighbors swingset and didn't understand while she couldn't. Then we headed over to the Outlets just to look around and let her play on the playset there as well. Something that both of us would enjoy. Adrianna is all set for the upcoming fall/winter with clothes thanks to my Mom...since we bought ahead of time when everything was on clearance. I really wish I would have done that for this spring/summer...Adrianna has a few things but not too much yet so we looked around but didn't end up getting anything...lots of fall things on sale but the clearance for summer stuff was not what I call clearance $12 is still too much...I guess I am too cheap :). I will learn to buy ahead at the end of this season for next Summer...I feel more comfortable doing that now anyways. Then we ate our packed lunch in the food court and I was going to let her play some on the play area there and it was closed for construction...so she opted to ride on the little merry go round instead. I ended up spending a whole whopping 50 cents while we were out today...man I really need to watch my spending..lol :). We should have just gone to the park.

-----------------------
I get back home and Josh has the plumber there looking at the dishwasher and some other faucets that are leaky. Well, it ends up that we need to get a new dishwasher...not really worth paying the money to fix it...so I guess we are slowly replacing all of the appliances so that they match. Such a fun way to spend our money :). So I guess I will be washing dishes by hand for a few days...fun, fun :).

----------------------
Tonight, Adrianna played with playdoh for the first time...at first all she wanted to do was eat it. She did seem to have a fun time with it though, she pretty much just wanted to break it up into pieces...and believe it or not she kept the colors seperate.

--------------------
So I have pretty much decided that I am going to have a c-section again this time...I had one with Adrianna and everything went so smoothly and it kind of scares me to not have one this time and then have the possibility of having an emergency one...so I would rather be on the safe side and just go ahead and schedule one. So as of right now...my c-section is scheduled for exactly 3 months from today
June 1lth..which is also the day after Josh's b-day...so we will have two b-day's really close to each other in our family. If I would go into labor on my own before then...then I would go ahead with that...but otherwise we will plan on welcoming our next little girl into the world on June 11th...so weird to know before hand when I will probably have her...can't wait!!!! :)

A Long, Rough Day!!

Yesterday, I had to drive up to Gettysburg to have a final dress fitting for my cousins wedding, I had to go extra times since I am pregnant and we want to make sure that I will be able to fit into the dress. I was hoping that my Dad would be off to go along or my Mom or someone but that didn't work out so Adrianna and I went up alone. The dress shop is about 1 hour 20 minutes away from our house. My appt. was at 11 and we never got out of the house until 10...Adrianna just didn't want to eat her breakfast or keep her coat on or anything. So ended up being 20 minutes late which wasn't a big deal since they didn't have any other appts. I also forgot to take along my shoes to try on with the dress...oh well. Adrianna did great on the ride there and great in the dress shop...she just sat on the bench while I tried on the dress...I was very impressed and pleased that she did so well. Then afterwards she didn't want to get back in the car so quickly since we had just been in the car so long and were only in the dress shop for about 15 minutes. I was thinking about stopping somewhere but it was kind of chilly out and I didn't really know where to stop...I did pack a lunch for us and was going to stop to feed her but she ended up falling asleep only 10 minutes into the ride and then slept on the way home...so that went smoothly. When we got home of course she woke up and then ate lunch and didn't get finished until almost 2pm. I tried to lay her back down for a little while...she was so tired...but of course wouldnt' go back to sleep anymore. So we headed out and got groceries at Wal-Mart...the whole time we were there she pretty much was fussy and kept trying to pull stuff off the shelves and wanting to buy all the snacks and throwing the snacks I brought her on the floor, etc...needless to say it was a rough trip there. I know that some of you probably deal with this each day...but this is not like Adrianna....I am so spoiled with her usually acting like an angel. She also pooped and peed on the floor and rolled in the poop...she was trying to use the potty and then said she was done and then stood up and went on the floor....so frustrating. She didn't eat any dinner and just threw most of it on the floor and then opened the dishwasher several times last night while it was running and we had already had problems earlier in the day with it leaking on the floor...hopefully there isn't anything too major wrong with it...so needless to say when Josh got home last night I was really ready for a break ...I am not usually like that.....so I was thankful when he took over for Adrianna and I got to work on finshing up making her invites for her b-day party.
Well, sorry to ramble on...it was just a long, rough day for us yesterday...today is starting off much better :).

Big Books!!

On Monday, we went to storytime at the library and Adrianna really enjoyed the big book that they read today. She kept going up front and wanting to look at it and stand right in front of the book. She also did a first during storytime today...running out of the room twice....I had fun chasing :).
Most of our friends that come to Storytime weren't there today...I guess they were all still tired from the time change...we usually do something with them afterwards...so since I had already packed a lunch and didn't want to head home yet...I decided to head over to the mall for a little while since I still needed to look for black shoes for my cousins wedding anyways.
I was a little bummed about hanging out alone and it turned out that I didn't have to hang out alone after all. When we got to the mall we saw Chase and Lexi there and we got to hang out for a while. I was able to find my black shoes and we had fun walking around..and then ate our packed lunch in the food court before heading home.
Since Adrianna enjoyed the big books so much...I remembered that I had some of them in the basement from when I was teaching so I dug them out and she really enjoyed looking at them and reading them with Daddy.

Catoctin Mountain Zoo

Today, we decided to go to early service at church so that we could head down to the Catoctin Zoo right after Sunday school and be able to enjoy a taste of Spring. We took along a picnic lunch and ate once we got there and then Adrianna enjoyed looking at all of the animals. I think the bears and the monkeys were her favorite. She loved walking around herself and didn't want to have anything to do with holding hands or riding in the stroller...she wanted to rule where we were going and when we would be going there. Since it wasn't that crowded, we pretty much let her lead the way and decide which order we would see the animals in....she loved everyone minute of it...until the very end when she just had had enough. It was so nice to have such a beautiful weekend and be able to get out as a family and enjoy a fun day at the zoo.

On our way home from the zoo we stopped by Pappy and Grandma Trish's house (Josh's Dad and Stepmom) for a short visit since Adrianna hadn't seen them in a while. It was great to visit again :)...and Adrianna enjoyed feeding Pappy goldfish.
