An Interesting Mom's Night Out!!!

On Friday night, since it was the last Friday of the month it was my MOPS groups MOM's night out...we were planning on doing fondue and playing games at the church...well we didn't end up doing the fondue since only 5 of us were going to able to come...and really only 3 of ended up being there for most of the time....it would have just been too much food. But we still had a good time making smores with my smore maker

and having other yummy snacks and cake and playing a few games....it was kind of hard playing some of the games with only 3 players. We missed having a lot of the Mom's there this time and hope to have a better turn out for our March Mom's Night out. When we first got there we werent' able to get into the church because the Bible Study that was suppose to be there didn't end up meeting for some reason so we had to wait for a key to be brought to get in (thanks Amy)...then the whole three of us sit things up and played Sequence and tried to play an older version of Balderdash.


Well, the interesting part comes in after we were all cleaned up and ready to leave...we were standing in the lobby and were talking some...keep in mind it was around 11pm...and we saw this truck drive up and park at the barn that sits on the other side of the parking lot from the church...of course with it only being us three ladies we were a little scared and were just watching out the window but no one was getting out but we didn't feel comfortable walking to our cars but didn't want to call the police on someone that was suppose to be there...so then we just waited a little while and then a van also pulls up with a trailer attached to it and they back it up to the barn and open up the trailer but it was so close to the barn that we couldn't see if the people were taking things out or putting things in...at this point we were very suspicious as to what was happening...there were several people in the van too. So we decided to call the administrator at church even though it was 11:30 at night...well he didn't answer so we called the pastor and he answered in his sleep and told us that everything was fine someone from our church was suppose to be dropping stuff off this weekend there..but he didnt' realize it would be that late at night...so then we all felt comfortable with going out to our cars and leaving...good thing we didnt' call the police on someone innocent....so needless to say it was a fun but interesting night.
