Wish we would have planned a Park Outing!!

On Wednesday's, Adrianna and I get together with Adrianna's godmother and daughter and another friend and her daughter for playdates, shopping, lunch, and whatever we can come up with to occupy our time. This is Adrianna's day to be the "Old lady" of the group as both of the girls are just a little over a year old but she still has a great time playing/hanging out with them.
Today, we met at Toys-R-Us to go shopping and look around...they had a lot of stuff on sale and we had some coupons too. We ended up getting a protable potty seat for Adrianna to use when she is out and about...still working on the potty training :) and my Mom had me buy her a potty for her house. We did see some cute clothes and such but didn't get any...We stopped to look at the cups as well...always trying to find ones that don't leak...it seems like they are fine for a little while but then start leaking.

Then we went over to Chick-Fil-A and had a yummy lunch. Adrianna didn't eat too much...she was more interested in watching the kids in the play area and wanting to join them. After we ate...or should I saw I ate:)....then she got a chance to play. I think today was the most fun that she has ever had playing there....she didn't want to leave and was running around and laughing the whole time.

I couldn't believe how nice the weather was today. I think that spring has arrived already...but won't get my hopes up yet since it is only Feb. I used to love snow days when I was a teacher...but now that I am a stay at home Mom I would rather have nice weather to play outside or at least to get out of the house :). I am hoping to get a chance to take Adrianna down to the park in Williamsport a little later or at least outside for a walk and playing on her swing in the yard. We will see....as it is already 4:15 and she is still sleeping...only so much daylight left. We will make sure to take advantage of the next nice day and go to the park for sure :).
We did get a chance to go and play in the backyard for a little bit. Don't you just love Adrianna's after nap hair do :).

Everyone was worn out tonight....even Snickers :).

Valentine Photo Shoot

Today, we went to the Picture People at the mall, they are more expensive then most places but do the best job with pics. We had a coupon to get a free 8x10 and 12 postcards for $12 so I decided why not...Adrianna did great at first with smiling and looking right at the camera...but that only lasted for about 5 or so minutes and then she didn't want to sit still anymore. We tried to get some pics of her holding a heart or bear but she kept wanting to look at the heart and hold it the wrong way...oh well. She wouldn't stand still long enough for any standing poses and refused to stay on her belly...so all of the poses are pretty much close-ups or sitting down...but we did get some cute ones.

Of course, she was all smiles after the pics were done and we were waiting for them...she did a great job waiting patiently to see her pics. She ate a snack, drew on her doodle pro and read some books.

Afterwards, we had to stop by Auntie Anne's for some pretzel sticks and a drink and she loved it.

Just Another Monday!!

Well, today we went to Storytime at the Library and of course Adrianna enjoyed it. Before we even got into the room she was pulling books off the shelf to look at/read. She likes to go up to the front after Ms. Abagail is done reading a book and grab it and bring it back to her seat to take a closer look at it.
Afterwards, we got some groceries at Sam's Club and of course had to stop at Martin's as well since you can't buy everything in bulk. I spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning, doing laundry and getting things booked for our little Valentine Getaway...which I couldn't believe how hard it was to make a reservation to a restaurant. We had won a gift card to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse back in September at a golf outing through Josh's work and hadn't gotten a chance to use it yet...well I must have called 10 different locations and everything was booked for Saturday night...so after I called about 15 other places and nothing being available...teach me not to wait until the last minute next time:)...I decided to just make reservations for Sunday night instead and we can use our gift card and have a very nice free dinner. The gift card is for $250 and from what I hear it will take pretty much all of that to have a nice dinner there...so needless to say we are only going there because of the gift card that we have. So Saturday night we are going to the Baltimore Comedy Factory and staying the night at a Bed and Breakfast in the Inner Harbor area. Adrianna will be spending the weekend with Pappy and Grandma (my parents). I am greatly looking forward to our alone time together as it doesn't happen that often...of course I do miss Adrianna a lot when she isn't here too :).
Adrianna had a fun time playing with her kitchen today....she is starting to use it more and more appropriately. I watched her put some "peas" in the microwave push the buttons and wait a little bit then she took them back out put them on the plate and got a spoon and pretended to eat them. It amazes me how much she figures out and how fast she is growing up.

A Lazy Sunday!!

Today, we went to our Young Married Couples Sunday School class and Church. We are currently going through the Fireproof Study....which we have loved and is a very powerful study and I would challenge all married couples to go through it...Josh and I went to see the Fireproof movie in the theaters when it came out and then Josh reserved a copy of it for me at Christmas, that is probably the first movie that we have bought...besides kids movies...in a few years) so that tells you how much we liked it. We actually sat down to watch a little bit of it today while Adrianna was napping but didn't get to finish the whole thing yet...maybe later on. Check it out at http://www.fireproofyourmarriage.com/.

This afternoon we pretty much just hung out and were lazy....I guess you need that sometimes...although it is hard for me to sit still :). Adrianna fell asleep on our way home from church and didn't wake up until about 5pm...I guess she was really tired and still making up for yesterday...so she missed lunch today but is eating dinner now....I guess she would rather sleep then eat sometimes. We did originally have plans to go down to my parents house to have a belated Birthday celebration for my brother...but that ended up not working out for them so we will be figuring out another time soon. Alright, now that I have bored you with our not so exciting day....I will leave you with a few pics of Adrianna.....

Jenn's Bridal Shower

Yesterday, Adrianna and I went down to Taneytown to help surprise my cousin for her bridal shower. I enjoyed helping out with it and am looking forward to being in her wedding in March. We did a football/Steelers theme for the shower since she got engaged at a Steelers football game and she loves the Steelers as well. So that is why you will see people wearing all different types of football appearal....of course Adrianna and I had Redskins gear :).

I think that even though Jenn had some idea that something was going on, she was still surprised. We played some fun games, had great food, Kimmi did an awesome job with the cakes and candy and Jenn got a lot of nice gifts. A great time was had by everyone.

Adrianna did a pretty good job too considering she never got her nap yesterday but was so tired last night that she didn't even want to eat her dinner....this was the only way that we were able to get her to eat anything :).

MOPS SPA DAY !!!

On the first and third Fridays of each month Adrianna and I go to MOPS (stand for Mothers of Preschoolers) at our church. I love being a part of MOPS and this year helping as the hospitality coordinator. Adrianna gets watched by some wonderful childcare workers while us Mom's get to have a break and a chance to refresh, fellowship, eat, make crafts, play games and learn new things. I have really enjoyed being a part of MOPS and love all the other Mom's in our group as well.
Today, we did a SPA/Chocolate day...yes we do meet from 9:30-11:30 in the morning...and yes we did endulge in all things chocolate that early in the morning...I brought in my chocolate fountain to dip fruit and such in and then some other Mom's brought in some yummy chocolate delights as well.

We spent time soaking our feet, getting our nails painted,

doing homemade facials with honey and yogurt and making Valentine candy bags and cards.

A great time was had by all the Mom's who attended.
If you would like to learn more about MOPS you can go to www.mops.org or ask me for more info about the MOPS group that I attend. I would encourage all Mom's to get involved in MOPS:).
Unfortunately, I don't have any pics of Adrianna from MOPS since she was in the nursery.
Not sure what else is in store for our Friday afternoon/evening...probably just getting stuff done around the house and hanging out. Adrianna had fun stacking her blocks.

Little Gym Day!!!

Thursday is Adrianna's morning to go to The Little Gym....she really enjoys running around and playing on the equipment there and seeing all of her friends. One of her favorite parts is shaking the bells and when they put the bells away she always wants to be the one to put the lid on the box. She loves doing the forward rolls on the cheese mat as well. She isn't too fond of the balance beam though...I guess it will take more time for her to like that more. She always has a blast at Little Gym though.

Afterwards, we usually go with some friends to the Farmer's Market for lunch....people always are looking at us there because when we come in it is like a parade of strollers...there are usally at least 5 of us each with a baby and stroller. The food there is great...but the last two weeks we have been saving money by packing our own lunch...it is still fun to have lunch with friends though.

Today, we had to go to the grocery store afterwards and of course Adrianna fell asleep on the way home and then unfortunately woke up before i laid her down in her crib...so ugh...she isn't falling back asleep...so I guess that was her nap for today...hopefully I will still be able to get a few things done around here.
